MLBVibes was built to make it easier to compare MLB matchups at a glance. I was tired of wading through odds-first betting sites. Most sites were either drowning in metrics or buried under ads and neither was actually helpful.
Of course, stats matter and I am a numbers guy. But, I'm also a big believer in momentum. Teams and players go through hot and cold stretches, and those swings can have a huge impact on how a team performs. Last year, the Dodgers went 10-14 in July and lost seven straight games, yet still won the World Series. That kind of context matters, and it doesn't always show up in season stats.
That's what the hot/cold indicators are for - a quick read on recent form that you can actually use before first pitch, alongside the pitching matchup, bullpen situation, and weather at the park. Hopefully it saves you some time and gives you a better feel for the game!
